Mission
CCCA is dedicated to integrating climate action into corporate social responsibility and sustainable development strategies, driving corporate carbon emission reduction and green transformation, promoting third-party technology development, and connecting enterprises with relevant technical support and resources.
Origins
China Corporate Climate Action (CCCA) is a non-profit collaborative network jointly launched by the Vanke Foundation, Beijing Entrepreneurs’ Foundation for Environmental Protection, and the Center for Climate Action (CCA), together with multiple partners, during the Global Climate Action Summit in September 2018. Comprised of industry associations, businesses, non-profit organizations, and research institutions, CCCA is dedicated to driving carbon emission reduction, green transformation, and green innovation across entire industrial chains and clusters through sector-wide leadership. It promotes the integration o

China Corporate Climate Action Initiative
The climate crisis is intensifying, with disastrous and extreme weather events striking at an unprecedented scale, threatening the sustainable development of humanity and the planet’s ecosystems. All humanity must unite to actively confront these challenges and strive to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement. Now is the final opportunity to realize this objective and prevent the systemic outbreak of climate catastrophe!
China has proposed its independent contribution goals of achieving carbon peak before 2030 and carbon neutrality before 2060. These “Dual Carbon” goals provide clear direction for climate action from all sectors, including businesses, social organizations, and the public.
We believe industrial and commercial enterprises should integrate emission reduction targets into their development strategies, actively adopt green and low-carbon technologies and sustainable business models, and provide climate-friendly products and services. We believe industry associations, chambers of commerce, federations, leading enterprises, and financial institutions should play a guiding role in promoting carbon reduction, green transformation, and green innovation throughout industrial chains and clusters.
To this end, we propose the following action strategies:
1. Set ambitious yet achievable carbon neutrality targets and implementation strategies;
2. Strengthen corporate greenhouse gas accounting and management, supporting the development of improved carbon management standards and tools across industries;
3. Enhance energy efficiency by adopting energy-saving, green, and low-carbon production technologies and management practices;
4. Expand the use of renewable energy and explore the development of energy storage and negative emission technologies;
5. Commit to providing healthy, environmentally friendly, and climate-positive products and services;
6. Fulfill environmental responsibilities throughout the entire product lifecycle, reducing resource waste and pollutant emissions at all stages;
7. Promote emission reductions among upstream and downstream business partners to build green supply chains;
8. Utilize market mechanisms and carbon sink products to offset emissions that are difficult to reduce directly;
9. Actively participate in and support the development of green finance and climate investment and financing initiatives;
10. Drive industry-wide improvements in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards and practices.
Let us join hands and dedicate ourselves to climate action, working together to achieve China’s carbon peak and neutrality goals, and build a harmonious future where humanity and nature thrive together! In 2020, China proposed the major strategic goals of Carbon Peak by 2030 and Carbon Neutrality by 2060 (the “3060 Dual Carbon Goals”), which set higher requirements for all industries and sectors. To respond to national policy, enhance ambitions, and accelerate action amidst this historic opportunity, we updated and upgraded our action strategies in November 2021.
